SVG started in November 2012. It was our vision to provide local produce to Chefs and Grocery Stores as well as reducing the carbon footprint and providing local jobs. SVG is a 90% green company, the entire growing process uses bio-degradable products. We have a pesticide and herbicide free environment. SVG is located in a warehouse where we use LED lighting to grow our products. By using LED lighting we reduce our power usage and their is no need for cooling.
Our farm is inspected annually by a third party USDA inspector and the Utah Department of Agriculture. We work with Pro*Act and Greener Fields Together to promote sustainability, to engage and involve farmers, distributors, food service operators and retail locations in efforts to work toward safer produce from seed to fork.
