Chef Ron Sabatini, Healthcare chef learns what it takes when life takes a different turn

Ron Headshot 1 - Chef Ron Sabatini, Healthcare chef learns what it takes when life takes a different turn

One of the most rewarding segments of the food service industry is arguably healthcare.  Not only are there great benefits for you personally, but you are truly making a difference in the lives of those you feed.

But why isn’t this the most sought after job?  Why don’t more chefs move towards healthcare for these and other benefits?  The truth is, not everyone thrives in this kind of environment.  And, because of some of the stereotypes of the past, some of the more “intense” chefs always don’t gravitate towards this.

Not Chef Ron Sabatini.  Chef Ron started in fine dining, but soon discovered where he belonged.

Have you ever thought, “this is great, I love my job and I now know what the rest of my career looks like…?” Well so did Ron.  After spending time learning and mastering his craft, he spent time in some very big institutions and some very prestigious properties.  He made a name for himself and a reputation.  So when it was time to transition out of operations and into a coaching and training role-Ron jumped on it.  After 10 years he was cruising right along as a highly sought after consultant when  life took him another direction and he had to rediscover who he was and decide where he went from there.
